“And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.”
Genesis 2:2 KJV

Apart from the scientific importance of resting, it is beautiful to see that God, our Father, rested from all of his work.

The major reason some people find it difficult to rest is basically because they do not plan their time well. God worked for six days and rested on the seventh day. He must have done some proper planning. He did not do the work of yesterday today and didn’t do the work of the fifth day on the sixth day.

If God had postponed some of His work, He probably wouldn’t have had the whole seventh day to Himself for rest.

Now, if God rested, then, you also should learn to take time to rest. God didn’t rest because He was tired but to pass a message to us that we should also learn to rest and to also give us His eternal rest from all troubles.

The muscles need rest. There can be overheating of the immune system. Don’t spend the time you’re supposed to be using to rest on the internet, there is time for everything!

Plan the day before leaving and always mark out time to rest.

It is ridiculous to use up your strength now to acquire so much money and then end up using the money to take care of your health due to sickness when you eventually get the money.

No matter how little it is, start investing in your health.

Stay healthy!

Have you set out time to rest? You can make up your mind to ALWAYS be on bed before 10pm and also have a short nap in between the hours of the day for a minimum of 15-30 minutes. This keeps you strong and healthy.

Life is all about balance. If you work yourself out now without resting, when it is time for you to harvest, you might have been too weak to enjoy the fruit of your labour. Let there be a balance!
