CRUMBS CAN BE USEFUL!

SCRIPTURE REFERENCE

“When they had all had enough to eat, he said to His disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.”

John 6:12 (NIV)

CONTENT

There are numerous miracles that were done by Jesus during His ministerial work on earth. One of the amazing miracles was the feeding of the five thousand and the four thousand men. These people have been following Jesus for days. They became so hungry that the disciples had to advice Jesus to dismiss them since there was no way they could feed them. Eventually, they found a boy who had 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. Jesus blessed it and it multiplied so much that it fed the approximately 10,000 people including women and children with 12 basket full leftovers.

God doesn’t encourage that we waste things. Do you know that those things you waste are enough to feed some people?

There are two basic things that God has given us and we must avoid waste in those areas.

1. Resources – This could be money, food or material things. If God has blessed you so much that you have leftovers, do not waste it, gather it and give to someone. The best thing however is to avoid waste. Don’t let your stomach dictate for you. Sometimes, you think you’ll finish 4 cups of rice only to realize that you can only finish 2 cups. How about covering it to eat later? That’s another good way to avoid waste.

2. Time – Time is the most expensive commodity in the world. You have to be deliberate about how you use your tone. We all have 24 hours but we do not use our 24 hours the same way. Your investment in your 24 hours determines your outcome in life. Spend your time wisely!

May the Lord grant you the needed grace to avoid wastes at all costs in Jesus name.

Have a blessed day

ACT
Do you waste food or any resources? It is never too late to turn a new leaf. Decide this morning to ALWAYS avoid waste at all cost. Those wastes are what some people survive on.

Nail down

What we see as crumbs is what a lot of people survive on. Every time you waste something, always remember that what you have just wasted could have saved someone’s life!
